D.O.M Restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil, is currently 6th of the world’s 50 best restaurants according to S. Pellegrino.
The renowned chef, Alex Atala, proposes a new gastronomic experience as he aims to use the most authentic Brazilian flavours and turn them into a contemporary gaze. The name, D.O.M. is an acronym for Deo Optimo Maximo, which means “God is Optimum and Maximum”.
The best way to discover D.O.M is to explore the tasting menu, divided in four, eight or vegetable kingdom. The menu exposes the chef’s experimentations with local goods from São Paulo, with ingredients such as açaí, jambu and tucupi. The result is an award-winning restaurant for lovers of haute cuisine with an interest in small producers and innovative culinary techniques.
