The new luxury Ampersand boutique Hotel is due to open in Kensington towards the end of August 2012. The 111 bedrooms and suites were inspired by the local London neighborhood, from the music of the Royal Albert Hall to the Chelsea Physic Garden’s flowers. Their restaurant & bar includes easy-going Mediterranean cooking at Apero, while in The Drawing Rooms you can enjoy all-day coffee, patisserie and light bite menus are offset by an elegant interior and last the elegant Wine Room available for private dining (10 people) and wine tasting.

Tucked beneath the Victorian cellar arches of The Ampersand Hotel, Apero brings a shot of fresh Mediterranean style to the heart of South Kensington. Softly lit, with cool white metro tiles and exposed brick walls, Apero is an intimate, laidback restaurant where you can catch up over a shared plate of something deliciously simple and modern.

The Wine Room

The Wine Room is defined by its polished basalt floor and oak banqueting table, surrounded by 10 sturdy leather-bound chairs – This elegant room – available for private dining and wine tasting – showcases the hotel’s red wine collection in an imposing floor-to-ceiling display that dominates an entire wall.
