Sweden's Most Serene Stay
The Tree Hotel

There is something magical about being close to nature. Unparalleled beauty in watching the sun set without manmade structures obscuring the skyline as it turns into an inky blanket of stars. This desire to enjoy nature in its purest, most natural form was the motivation behind the creation of the Tree Hotel in Sweden.

Inspired by the movie, “The Tree Lover” by Jonas Selberg Augustsen, this one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly hotel offers guests a unique experience: nesting in the tree-tops. Designed with some of Scandinavia’s leading architects, the “rooms” at the Tree Hotel hover 4-6 meters above ground, offering spectacular views of the Lulea River, and the vast forests in the surrounding area. Ecologically-friendly, each room is built with completely sustainable resources and powered by green hydroelectric power, and LED energy solutions.

What makes Tree Hotel even more special is that meals are home-cooked and served by the owners, Kent and Britta, themselves, lending a cozy, home-like atmosphere to this whimsical retreat. Located in Harads, a small village with only 600 inhabitants, about 100 km from the Lulea airport, the Tree Hotel is a welcoming retreat where travelers can disconnect from technology and the bustling modern world, and reconnect to the beauty and simplicity of nature.
