Almost everything in Paris is a sight for the eyes, so when something actually stands out for its design, you know it’s worth the trip. The Mama Shelter Hotel in Paris falls into this category, with a charming interior aesthetic and overall atmosphere, making it one of the most popular hotels in the city.

The second Mama Shelter branch just opened last April in Marseille, and is designed by the popular Philippe Starck. While reviews on the design are mixed, what makes the place interesting is that each room and area stand out with their own unique look?from a clean, monochrome palette in the Mama Deluxe room to blackboard ceilings and chalk scribbles in the main entryway.
