"an ideal base to explore the well-kept secrets of the wild part of the Western Algarve."

Each of the five suites on the first floor of Casa Mãe has its individual shape, size and personality defined by the structure of the 19th-century building. Recuperated original wood details of the ceilings and window frames, complemented with French balconies, modern and vintage furniture and free standing bathtubs give an elegant and authentic atmosphere to the interiors.

The Casa Mãe suites are what you expect from a summer holiday home, full of light and space, ranging from 27m2 to 53m2; they all have views over the city, the garden, the Atlantic ocean or the surrounding old city walls and mirador.

Located in the middle of the garden the 3 Cabanas are the choice for those seeking tranquility and privacy. Each has a 35m2 inside space with an elevated platform for the bathroom mirroring the terraced garden. The private outside patios are between 35m2 and 55m2 large each, for a true garden experience with plenty of plants, scents of herbs and trees, private outdoor showers, hammocks, and the set-up for a peaceful private dinner.

    Casa Mãe by Pedro Limão

Casa Mãe by Pedro Limão is casual fine dining with the best the Algarve has to offer. Beyond the organic produce from our farm, our chef has scouted the region to visit and select the best producers. On the cozy terrace or inside our Casa Mãe Chef Pedro Limão serves his seasonal creations revisiting the Algarvian traditional flavors. Expect refinement, boldness, honesty – go through the motions of Pedro Limão’s tasting menu and opt for the pairing with pleasant and sometimes surprising wines from Portugal.

Orta restaurant is about healthy, fresh and sunny flavors – simple dishes to share at any time of the day. It’s breakfast from dawn till late, and all about the pureness of the produce: raw food and open-air BBQ, feel-good smoothies, freshly pressed juices and cold pressed almond milk, craft coffee and sweet treats. The kitchen is open, the food from our farm. Sit on the large bar inside or on the spacious outside terrace or take your plate and drinks and find your favorite space in the garden.
